It depends on your industry, but broadly speaking, the following 10 countries are considered the best countries for business:
- New Zealand
- The Netherlands
- Sweden
- Canada
- Hong Kong
- Denmark
- Ireland
- Singapore
- Switzerlang
- Australia
Many of these “Top 10” countries have English as their national language, or it is widely spoken by the business community. This certainly helps to facilitate international trade. However, these aren’t necessarily the best countries for export, as they may not have high demand for the product you’re exporting, or the service you’re offering.
If you want to export to a country where business not be straightforward, have a look at the DIT’s useful export country guides which are available to download from their website.
At Web-Translations, our clients are from a wide range of industries, and the languages they need to translate into vary accordingly. We work with European fashion designers who translate content into English and other European languages. We work with online service providers who translate into 20+ popular languages from around the world. We work with manufacturers and research companies who translate into very obscure languages. More often than not, it is beneficial to look outside of the “best countries” to neighbouring countries or to countries which may be further afield, but where there is a demand for a unique product or service offering. The added cost of translation to a non-Top 10 country shouldn’t be a deterrent, as translation of key products, a landing page and a few google ads won’t cost the earth, but may radically change where you do business!
