Localisation into Simplified Chinese of the website front end and booking engine.
Started in 1967, Air Mauritius helps to connect Mauritius to the rest of the world with its regular flights to and from twenty destinations in Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe.
After introducing two flights to Shanghai per week in early 2013, Air Mauritius identified an opportunity to add an additional route from China to the island. The website front end and booking engine were localised into Simplified Chinese to provide customers with an excellent user experience in their native language. The Air Mauritius Kestrelflyer frequent flyer program was also localised as a second phase to the project.
This resulted in the inaugural flight from Beijing to Mauritius taking place on the 8th of July 2013, and it is anticipated that this route will become as popular as the Shanghai and Hong Kong flights provided by Air Mauritius.
Web-Translations has also carried out updates to the Chinese pages to keep the website in line with the English version, and has recently localised key pages into French.
